The Functional Benefits of Vaginal Plastic Surgery

Whether enlarged or oddly shaped labia are causing you physical or emotional discomfort, you will be interested to learn that there are significant functional and psychological benefits of receiving vaginal plastic surgery. Not only could this surgery result in increased sexual satisfaction, but it could also address other troubling problems, including:

  • Enlarged labia majora
  • Enlarged labia minora
  • Oversized clitoral hood
  • Changes to the labia caused by childbirth
  • Excessive amounts of fat above the pubic bone

Labiaplasty, the reshaping of the vulva or labia (outer and inner lips of the vagina), has become an increasingly popular option for many women who seek a boost in confidence and comfort after childbirth, aging, significant weight loss, or injury to the genital structures.

When to Consider Vaginal Plastic Surgery

Women often consider vaginal plastic surgery for a number of reasons, including:

  • If the contours of your vaginal structures have stretched or altered and over time, you may be experiencing discomfort or pain with sexual activity, exercise, or everyday activities
  • If multiple vaginal child deliveries have stretched the labia and affected intimacy
  • If your self-esteem could benefit from a labiaplasty procedure

Are You a Good Candidate for Vaginal Plastic Surgery?

Factors that may make you a good candidate for labiaplasty include:

  • You have vaginal structures that sag due to aging, pregnancy, or weight loss
  • You have discomfort from scarring resulting from childbirth or previous genital surgeries
  • You would like a sexy, refined contour to your labia and vulva
  • You are in good general health

Other Considerations

Some women may also consider having a clitoral hood reduction with their labiaplasty, which reduces the amount of tissue covering the clitoris. Not only does this improve the appearance of the clitoris, but it’s also a means of increasing clitoral sensation.

Advantages of Getting Plastic Surgery in the Spring

Every year, as spring rolls around, the realization hits us that soon we will be getting out more, wearing less and that we want to look and feel our best.

Spring is the time of renewal and rejuvenation. By taking care of that overdue plastic surgery now, you can look your best in time for summer! The weather is still cool enough to wear bulkier clothing to comfortably conceal the swelling and bruising from your surgery without becoming overheated.

It’s often raining for days on end at this time of year, and you might be able to take this opportunity to have the procedure you’ve always promised yourself. What’s more, the long weekends and the kids still being in school will all help with a safe recovery. Your body will have time to heal before your summer starts. It will be easier to keep your procedure private before your sexy summer reveal!

Spring also allows you time to lose the extra weight you might have gained during the holidays. Some surgical procedures like liposuction or breast augmentation require you to be as close to your ideal weight as possible. Use the time before the end of spring to get back into shape before your procedure. Doing this will help you get your recovery out of the way before hitting those summer parties in your bikini. Can you imagine being out at the beach or pool, showing off your new body?

With just one office visit to Ritacca Cosmetic Surgery and Medspa, you could be well on your way to your best summer ever!

Best Plastic Surgery Procedures During Spring Break

When it’s high season for swimwear and shorts, eliminating love handles, tightening tummies, and boosting busts are at the forefront of many minds.

Are you feeling bold? Why not jump right into maximizing your plastic surgery results? Spring is a great time to consider breast augmentation, facelift, or liposuction surgery. If you are working on a timeline for a wedding, vacation, or another event, be sure to let your surgeon know during your consultation. Typically, a spring procedure will have you healed and ready for the summer.

In preparation for summer, we recommend the following procedures:

Breast augmentation. Allows women of all shapes and sizes to enhance their breasts.

Tummy tuck. Flatten and shape your abdomen and waist.

Liposuction. Give your body a sculpted look through the elimination of unwanted fat.

Facelift. Rejuvenate the skin on your mid-to-lower face and neck.

Gluteal (Butt) Implants. Consider these as an excellent option to enhance the appearance, size, as well as the shape of your buttocks.

Not Ready to Commit to Surgery?

For something a little less invasive, you have these great options:

Photofacial. Restore your skin to its natural beauty with Sciton Forever Young BroadBand Light (BBL)™ light photofacial rejuvenation therapy, which can target a wide variety of skin conditions related to aging and sun damage.

Cellulite treatment. Using a revolutionary new cellulite FDA-approved treatment, Cellfina can virtually eliminate cellulite in the vast majority of patients. Better yet, this procedure involves no surgery whatsoever.

Skin rejuvenation. One of the first things you can do this spring is pamper yourself and your skin with a rejuvenation facial. Not only will this bring back a healthy glow to your skin, but it will also help to heal and repair skin that may have become damaged due to the cold and dry winter weather.

HydraFacial. Painlessly exfoliate your skin before delivering healing, nourishing serums, which ensure that your outer glow matches your inner glow.

Nonsurgical body sculpting and contouring, or dermal fillers and BOTOX®, could also be on your spring refresh checklist. Laser hair removal would eliminate shaving from your summer routine. Your summer self will thank you!

While you’ll be able to go out in public comfortably and confidently within a week or two after most procedures, for others, the results will continue to improve long after you’re back to normal activity. Check with your doctor on what to expect.

How Young Is Too Young For Rhinoplasty?

Cosmetic surgery is only growing more popular as surgical techniques and technology advance. The popularity of social media platforms like Instagram, filled with people showing off aesthetic changes, opens up trends to younger segments of the population.

A rhinoplasty, or nose job, is the most common plastic surgery performed among teenagers. The teen years are a favorite time for the procedure since abnormalities on the nose usually arise during the early teenage years – while the nose usually stops growing between the ages of 14-17.

Physical appearance is a vital aspect of self-image for many teenagers, but some question if teenagers have the emotional maturity to handle cosmetic surgery. Others worry adjusting the nose could lead to a face that later appears abnormal as a young person continues to grow and experience changes to their body.

There are no one-size-fits-all answers for an age that is too young for a rhinoplasty. Keep reading to get an understanding of discussion considerations before deciding on the procedure.

Consider The Physical Development Of The Person

Rhinoplasty should only be carried out on a nose that has finished growing. One performed while growth is occurring might open up the need for a revision down the road to re-balance the nose to present a natural look.

Nasal bone growth usually stops after puberty, which often comes around one to two years after menstruation for girls. Since every girl starts menstruating at a different age, the decision for rhinoplasty should only occur once a surgeon examines a girl’s (or boy’s nose) to see if they have stopped growing.

Emotional Preparation Is Essential Before A Rhinoplasty

Even if a teenager’s nose has stopped growing, it does not mean they are the right candidate for a rhinoplasty.

It is essential to carefully consider if a young person desires a rhinoplasty to correct a legitimate abnormality to the nose, or if they are feeling peer pressure that cultivates a desire for a nose job.

An impulsive rhinoplasty will not be effective and could lead to complications down the road. Teenagers who express interest in rhinoplasty should be prepared and mature enough to understand what the procedure can achieve.

The results of a rhinoplasty last a lifetime unless there is a revision rhinoplasty down the road. Other facial rejuvenation surgeries that address the signs of aging usually need follow-up treatment to maintain results.

For a nose job, alternations to structure and appearance will be permanent. Young patients and their parents need to be prepared for their new nose to stay the same for life, even as other areas of the face start to age and change in appearance.

Rhinoplasty will not lead to a completely transformed body, but it can help cultivate a sense of greater self-confidence to help teenagers naturally engage with friends and family.

The question of emotional maturity varies for each teenager and is a point that should be brought up with a surgeon when deciding about the proper time.

Can Post-Surgical Instructions Be Followed?

While rhinoplasty is a relatively non-invasive form of cosmetic surgery, it does come with a recovery period. Most surgeons ask for six to eight weeks of abstention from contact sports after a rhinoplasty. The recovery process can be a significant lifestyle change to a teenager who is active with friends.

Swelling, bruising, and other discomforts also accompany rhinoplasties. Patients need to be prepared to manage their pain and carefully follow instructions from the surgeon to minimize swelling. Some teenagers, no matter their age, might not be ready to take care of their nose or temporarily adopt a more sedentary lifestyle after a rhinoplasty.

Help With Finding The ‘Perfect Age’ For A Rhinoplasty

Rhinoplasty is not a magic solution for younger patients, but it can help address breathing problems and other aesthetic issues safely and effectively. The decision-making process between a teenager, their parents, and a cosmetic surgeon are important to hash out during discussions about a rhinoplasty.

During a free consultation at Ritacca Cosmetic Surgery & Medspa, our team corresponds closely with parents to decide an appropriate age for rhinoplasty based on emotional and physical maturity. We take special care when speaking with teenagers so they can safely articulate their feelings about a rhinoplasty.

Vectra 3D Imaging for Realistic Plastic Surgery Expectations

Developing realistic expectations is one of the most important parts of preparing for plastic surgery. Everyone’s face and body are different, so you cannot expect to achieve exactly the same results as someone else, regardless of how skilled your surgeon is. Your surgeon must still work within the limits of your bone structure and body type. Understanding this, and communicating effectively with your surgeon, is one of the best ways to ensure a satisfactory outcome and avoid the need for revision surgery.

In the past, relying on verbal communication made the process of developing realistic expectations inefficient. Visualizing exactly how you’ll look based on words alone is challenging, no matter how many “before and after” photos you look at. This is why Vectra 3D is so helpful for many of our patients: Vectra 3D utilizes the power of computer-generated imagery to show patients exactly what they’ll look like after having the procedure (or procedures) of their choice.

What is Vectra 3D Imaging?

Vectra 3D Imaging is a computer software program that’s capable of generating 3D models of individual patients. These models can be quickly and easily modified to reflect the results of various surgical procedures. This allows patients to accurately match their expectations with reality before they enter the operating room. Furthermore, it facilitates excellent doctor-patient communication: Once patients see their projected results, they can ask their surgeon to make adjustments to better reflect their wishes.

Every Vectra 3D Imaging session starts with a comprehensive full-body scan. Six high-definition cameras are placed around the patient so that they can capture his or her face and body from every angle. Then, the Vectra 3D program stitches these images together to create an accurate three-dimensional model of the patient. This model can be rotated freely in order to provide a complete picture of the changes the patient can expect after surgery. The program also automatically generates two models, one depicting the patient’s current appearance and one showing the projected alterations, to allow the patient to easily compare both states.

What Procedures Can be Used with Vectra 3D?

Patients having virtually any kind of plastic surgery can benefit from Vectra 3D Imaging. This program is powerful enough to compute the results of even very complex surgical procedures, like tummy tuck surgery.

Vectra 3D Imaging is particularly helpful for patients who plan to have either rhinoplasty or breast augmentation surgery. Rhinoplasty patients are prone to developing unrealistic expectations simply because they’re not aware of the need to work within their existing nasal structure. Breast augmentation patients, on the other hand, are frequently unsure of how implant volume (which is measured in CCs) will translate into real-world cup sizes. Vectra 3D Imaging can eliminate this confusion.

Ritacca Cosmetic Surgery & Medspa is one of the only plastic surgery practices in Illinois to offer Vectra 3D Imaging. If you would like to learn more about how this innovative technology can help you achieve your aesthetic goals, simply contact us to arrange a personal consultation.

How to Get Active Post Tummy Tuck

Once you start to see results from your tummy tuck, you may feel motivated to get up and out — exercise, hang out by the pool, or go shopping for new clothes. But it’s important to take it slowly as you heal so you can enjoy beautiful results and protect your well-being. Read our infographic below for a timeline on physical activity after surgery and how you can ease back into an active routine.

Jump Start Your Fitness Journey with Liposuction

All too often, liposuction is unfairly stereotyped as being the procedure people turn to when they don’t want to diet or exercise. It may therefore surprise you to learn that liposuction has never been used for this purpose; in fact, it’s not possible to surgically remove more than about ten pounds of fat at a time. Instead, liposuction is frequently employed to help people who are already a healthy weight sculpt their bodies. Having liposuction can “jump start” your fitness efforts in several different ways. Here’s what you need to know:

3 Ways Liposuction Can Help You Get (and Stay) Fit

1. The motivation factor.

If you’ve ever been trapped in a cycle of yo-yo dieting (and/or exercising), then you’re probably already familiar with the following problem: You work hard for weeks or even months, restricting calories and sticking to your fitness plan, only to discover that it’s impossible to “spot reduce” fat. Sure, you might lose weight overall, but if you’re like most people over the age of 30, you’re left with a distinct belly bulge that won’t budge—no matter what you do. This situation isn’t your fault; as we get older, our bodies “centralize” their fat stores. That is to say, fat that used to be evenly distributed over your arms, legs, hips, and face, will progressively gather around your midsection instead. The result of this process is a deposit of stubborn fat around your stomach that makes you look heavier than you are and prevents you from developing visible abs. There is no nonsurgical way to get rid of this fat that doesn’t involve extreme dieting or over-exercising—two solutions that are neither healthy nor sustainable.

When confronted with this reality, many people (understandably) feel deflated. They think that no matter how hard they work, they’ll never have the body they want. Furthermore, because our brains are hardwired to respond to reward, when we don’t experience profound visible rewards after dieting and exercising, we lose the motivation to keep trying. Our brains also start to “default” back to craving familiar sources of reward, like comfort foods. This leads to weight gain, and soon enough, we need to begin the cycle all over again.

Liposuction has the power to short-circuit this process. By getting rid of the stubborn fat (usually abdominal fat, but liposuction can be used virtually anywhere) that’s left over once you reach a healthy weight, this procedure can reveal your toned muscles and give you the flat stomach you’ve been working so hard to achieve. Once this has been accomplished and you can see the rewards of all your hard work, you’ll be inspired to keep them. In other words, you’ll naturally want to keep working out and eating healthily because you won’t want to sabotage your new physique.

2. Liposuction can remove emotional barriers that hold you back from exercising.

We’ve been inundated with images of what “fit” people are supposed to look like: Completely sleek, fabulously toned, and overall rock-hard. As such, when we slip into tight exercise gear and discover that it reveals every lump and bulge we have, our confidence tends to evaporate. We feel like we “look” out of shape, even if we’re actually very fit.

For most people, this feeling leads to a great deal of self-consciousness. It prevents them from wanting to work out anywhere other people are present, especially other people who already look flawlessly fit. Alas, unless you live out in the middle of nowhere, your only viable exercise areas are probably public parks and gyms.

Having liposuction can take care of those unsightly lumps and bumps and give you the confidence you need to hit the trail or the track, without worrying about anything jiggling. Additionally, once you get the perfect body, you’re going to want to show it off.

3. Liposuction may improve your health.

Research has shown that removing abdominal fat is associated with several positive health outcomes. It lowers levels of blood triglycerides, increases your energy levels, and improves your cardiovascular health. All these benefits hold true even if you lose the last bit of your belly fat via surgery rather than exercise. This is the case because it’s the metabolic and hormonal effects of belly fat itself that negatively impact our health, not just being “out of shape.” And of course, the healthier and more energetic you are, the easier it’s going to be to exercise regularly.

Liposuction isn’t a replacement for diet and exercise, but it is the perfect companion to any healthy fitness plan. Don’t let stigma about this procedure hold you back; when approached correctly, it can be good for your mind, body, and spirit.

Get Ready for the Holidays with Injectables

Looking for a little pre-Christmas pick-me-up? Worried about facing old friends at an upcoming New Year’s Eve party? Just ready for a change? If you are, then injectables might be the perfect thing to add to your holiday shopping list. These innovative compounds can do a lot to enhance your look—and all without the inconveniences posed by surgery.

How Can Injectables Improve Your Appearance?

Injectable treatments are used to meet a wide array of different cosmetic goals. They can minimize the signs of aging, such as wrinkles and hollows under the eyes and cheeks, and they can correct acne scars. They can also be used to improve the shape of your facial features. For example, many people get fillers injected into their lips in order to make them fuller and rounder. Some of the most popular injectable treatments include:

  • BOTOX®: A purified protein derived from botulinum, BOTOX® is singularly effective at relaxing the muscles of the face. By doing so, it can effectively reduce the appearance of “dynamic” wrinkles (wrinkles created by the expansion and contraction of the facial muscles). BOTOX® is most frequently applied to the forehead and the area between the brows, where dynamic wrinkles often make their earliest appearance. BOTOX® is used in a preventative manner, too. Younger people (those between the ages of 25-30) are increasingly turning to BOTOX® before wrinkles appear. Research shows that relaxing the muscles prior to the formation of wrinkles may delay their appearance by reducing the amount of stress put on the skin.

  • Juvéderm®: Juvéderm® is an injectable gel that contains a synthesized form of hyaluronic acid, a compound that is naturally produced by the human body. When Juvéderm® is injected into the skin, it bonds with the water molecules there and prompts the body to start producing more collagen. Juvéderm® therefore both adds volume directly (i.e., the gel fills in wrinkles and hollows) and improves the skin’s overall condition.

  • Restylane®: Like Juvéderm®, Restylane® is made from synthetic hyaluronic acid. Restylane® differs from Juvéderm® in its composition, however. Restylane® diffuses into surrounding tissues less readily, meaning that it is more well-suited to applications where feature shaping is necessary. For this reason, Restylane® is a popular option for adding volume to the lips and filling in small areas, such as the lower eyelid.

  • Sculptra®: This dermal filler is composed of poly-L-lactic acid, also known as PLLA. Sculptra® is unique because, in addition to providing an instant volume boost, the PLLA actually stimulates collagen production in the skin. This allows for a gradual rejuvenation effect that can last for years.

  • Allofill: This unique filler uses ready-to-use fat grafts to help restore volume and fullness in the face. Since fat moves and feels like natural tissue (because it is natural tissue), patients can look forward to some of the most long-lasting, natural-looking rejuvenation possible.

Why Injectables are the Perfect Choice for the Holidays

No matter how you celebrate, the holidays are probably a busy time for you. (Unless you’re planning to jet off to a secluded island with a private getaway, of course—in which case, we envy you!) As such, you don’t necessarily have time for surgery and the recovery period in order to give yourself the gift of better confidence… But you still want to look your very best as you navigate your way through various gatherings. Nonsurgical solutions like injectable fillers and BOTOX® present a perfect compromise for people in this situation: None of the injectables discussed in this guide require any “down time.” Because they don’t require the making of any incisions or the use of general anesthetic, you won’t have to take time off work in order to rest and heal. In fact, injectable treatments are often called “lunchtime procedures” because you can literally have them administered during lunch hour and return to work immediately afterwards. You won’t have to worry about scarring or significant swelling, either.

Injectable treatments are also highly affordable (as compared to more invasive procedures, like facelift surgery). Therefore, they won’t take a huge chunk out of your holiday budget or spoil your vacation plans.

The only caveat to be aware of when it comes to injectable treatments is the fact that results are not always immediate. The full effect of dermal fillers is usually observed several weeks after they are injected. (Some volume will be seen immediately thanks to the thickness of the filler’s gel, but it takes the body time to generate fresh collagen.) Even BOTOX® takes about seven days to kick in! If you want to reap the full rewards of your chosen injectable treatment (or treatments) by December, you should therefore act now. Book a consultation with us and start your journey to better skin health today.

Breast Reduction, Breast Lift, Or Both?

While many women desire larger, fuller breasts, this is not universally the case. Natural large breasts are associated with a range of potential problems, such as back pain, sagging of the breast tissue, and poor breast shape (large natural breasts have a tendency to be oblong rather than round). If you have large breasts and are experiencing any of the aforementioned issues, then you may be wondering if a breast lift or reduction is right for you.

During breast reduction surgery, both tissue and skin are removed from the breasts, often with the aid of liposuction. The breasts are made smaller in size and reshaped during this procedure, with the aim of producing rounder, perkier breasts. Sometimes the areolas are also reduced in size and/or repositioned so that they are kept properly in proportion with the new size and shape of the breasts. The end result is smaller, more shapely breasts.

How complex and invasive this procedure will be depends primarily on just how much breast tissue needs to be removed. Breast reduction surgery usually takes between 3-5 hours and is performed under general anesthesia. Small reductions can, however, sometimes be done with just local anesthesia.

A breast lift, on the other hand, is not performed with the aim of significantly reducing total breast volume. Instead, it’s recommended to patients who want to retain the overall size of their breasts, but who have issues with sagging caused by loose skin. During a breast lift, excess skin is removed and the nipples and areolas are sometimes repositioned, creating a perky, youthful appearance.

In some cases, patients may require both breast reduction and breast lift surgery. This usually occurs when a large-breasted patient is older, has had multiple pregnancies, or has breast implants that she wants removed. Such patients often have significant stretching of the skin due to the weight of their breasts, so in addition to having breast volume reduced, they also need loose skin removed.

If you’re not sure whether you need a breast lift, a breast reduction, or both, feel free to book a consultation with us at Ritacca Cosmetic Surgery & Medspa. Our knowledgeable, caring staff will be happy to guide you through the process of selecting the right procedure (or procedures) for you.

5 Tips to Prepare for Your Plastic Surgery Consultation

Plastic surgery – just like any surgery – is an important decision to make, and your plastic surgery consultation can make all the difference in where you choose to get your procedures. The more informational and interactive your consultation is, the more you’ll be able to understand the entire process and the more comfortable you’ll be. Just like you, we want to ensure you have a productive, successful plastic surgery consultation. Here are our top 5 tips for preparing for your consultation to make sure it goes as smoothly as possible.

Research the Procedure(s) You are Interested in

The best way to go into your consultation is with some preliminary knowledge of what you would like. Breast augmentation, liposuction, and butt lifts all come with different information you need to know such different recovery times and restrictions. Learn some basic information about your procedure, so you can be aware of any details you’d like to know. Don’t worry about doing too much research, however. Every patient is different, so we will let you know all the specifics.

Bring Questions

Once you have thought a little about what you would like to have done, you will start to know what answers you’d like to find out. Having questions already written down is a great way to make sure you’re informed about the details that are important to you. Once the plastic surgeon explains the basics about each procedure and what to expect, you can then dive into a more complex and detailed discussion.

Remember to ask more questions than just about the procedure itself. Your surgeon as well as the facility where the procedure will be performed are both important parts of your plastic surgery journey. Plan on asking questions like “What’s your experience with this procedure?” or “How often is this procedure performed at this facility?”

Gather Your Medical History

You should come to your consultation with as detailed records of your medical history as possible. This should include any previous diseases and conditions, as well as a list of current medications you’re taking, and any drug or alcohol use. Certain conditions and/or medications may disqualify you from certain procedures for safety reasons, so it’s essential that you be honest and detailed about your medical history.

Schedule Ample Time for Your Consultation

Although your plastic surgery consultation should only take about an hour, make sure you schedule it on a day and time when you can devote as much time as necessary to talk to your doctor. A rushed consultation is a recipe for misunderstanding and miscommunication. A calm, comfortable consultation is key to getting the most thorough understanding of your procedure.

Maintain Realistic Expectations

The ideal plastic surgery patient is someone who has realistic expectations about their results. Prior to your plastic surgery consultation, take some time to think about why you’re really considering surgery. What exactly do you hope to accomplish? Do you want to fix a flaw that you’ve been dealing with for years? Do you want to feel more confident about your appearance? When you walk into your consultation, you should be able to communicate your goals clearly to the plastic surgeon.

Now that you’re a little closer to a successful plastic surgery journey, it’s time to schedule your consultation. Give the doctors at Ritacca Cosmetic Surgery & Medspa a call at 847-367-8815 to schedule a consultation.

Is Bigger Better? Your Guide to Breast Implant Sizes

When considering breast augmentation, choosing the size of implants requires more complex thinking than just “bigger is better.” Most women who opt for a breast augmentation actually don’t want (or need) the largest size of implants possible. Instead, it depends on the woman’s aesthetic goals. Expert surgeons recommend a breast size that is proportionate to the woman’s body.

During the initial consultation with the plastic surgeon, the patient will discuss her goals and expectations for the breast augmentation procedure. The surgeon will then assess the patient’s figure and breast tissue to suggest a size that will provide balanced results. Ultimately however, choosing the breast implant size should be personalized for the patient. It is important to pick the final size based on what the patient truly wants, and not what others think is best for her.

If you’re thinking of getting your own breast implants soon, here is a simple guide to help you select the best size for you:

Determine Your Goal

Most women who go to the clinic for breast augmentation already have a goal in mind. In order for you to pick the right breast implant size, you must first settle on your own goals. Do you want a dramatic change? Or do you want to have larger breasts that look natural? Asking yourself these questions will help you decide what implant size is best for your breast augmentation.

Your Body Type

Women have different body types. Some are petite, while others are taller or curvier. To choose the right implant size, it is important to consider your body type. Petite women are generally recommended to choose implants in the lower range, since bigger implants may not be proportional with their smaller figures. Taller women typically get larger implants because they look more proportionate to their bodies.

Measurements in CC

When choosing an implant size, you should know that sizes come in cc and not in cup sizes. Bra measurements are not reliable because they vary depending on the manufacturer. It is the same reason why breast implants come in ccs, which stands for cubic centimeters. To avoid confusion, stick to using cc when referring to the volume of implants.

Rice Test

A rice test can be truly helpful when communicating your aesthetic goals to your surgeon. You can do it by filling two sandwich bags with rice and placing them inside a bra that’s approximately the size you want for your new breasts. The next step is to modify the amount of rice in each bag by filling the bags carefully until it reaches the size of breasts you desire. Empty the bag into a measuring cup, and then you can convert the measurement into a volume using the measurements below.

1 cup     =             236 cc

½ cup    =             118 cc

¾ cup    =             177 cc

2/3 cup =             156 cc

1/3 cup =             78 cc

¼ cup    =             59 cc

1/8 cup =             30 cc
