How it Works
Lasers produce pulses of light that pass through the top layers of the skin to be absorbed by the tattoo pigment. This energy causes this pigment to fragment into smaller particles that are then removed by the body's immune system. Laser tattoo removal is a safe, non-invasive method that targets only the ink and does not affect the tissue surrounding the tattoo.
How many treatments does it take?
The number of treatments depends upon the tattoo itself. Generally, results can be seen within a few weeks, although larger and darker tattoos may require more treatments than smaller, lighter ones.
What types of lasers are used?
We have multiple lasers specifically dedicated for this treatment, including the newest 2010 Alexandrite laser technology. With this new technology, we are more easily able to treat stubborn colors such as green and blue. All of our tattoo removal lasers are of q-switched technology, being the gold standard for laser tattoo removal. With these lasers we are able to treat tattoos of multiple colors including blue, black, green, red, yellow,and many others.
